Our Mini Displayport to Displayport adapter is the perfect solution for hooking up your new generation Macbook, Macbook Pro, or Macbook Air to a monitor or HDTV that has Displayport input. This is a great solution because they are the same technology, as such you have no compromise as far as resolution or signal quality. Another common application of this cable is for the new 27" iMac which has mini displayport input. This cable can be used to connecto a Displayport source to the 27" iMac mini displayport input and use the iMac as a display.
Cable is compatible with Apple mini-displayport products and will be in Apples typical gloss white color to match your Apple products.
Incompatibility Issue: Certain customers have reported incompatibility with the HP LP2475w and HP LP2275W monitor. We have had two separate reports that the screen jitters and shakes and makes it unusable. We also have reports that it works fine. This is due to an incompatibility between the monitor and Apple products. If you are going to be using the HP LP2475w monitor we can only refund the cost of the cable upon return, not the shipping charge because this is a disclosed issue at the time of purchase.
DisplayPort is a new technology that is looking to replace DVI and VGA as a video connection. The DisplayPort cable is notably smaller than both of these technologies and includes a snap-lock connector to make connecting and disconnecting simple. Display Port will most likely become the new standard for high end video equipment and Circuit Assembly has taken the initiative to be one of the first to manufacture this new technology for its customers. It is capable of carrying a high bandwidth digital audio and video signal.

hp lp2475w works perfect

for me it works perfect with my hp lp2475w and a macbook pro unibody 15'' 2.53ghz (nvidia geforce 9400m).
pluged in and quick select on the display. nothing else. right resolution and no shaking or whatelse.
and btw: 40h after ordering delivery in germany! great!!!

Works perfectly with my HP LP2475w S-IPS display connected to Mid-2009 MacBook Pro 13" 2.26 and 2.53 models. No issues. Very bright image - detected very quickly.

Wow, this worked right out of the box. It took a couple minutes to understand how to switch the displays. You need to hit F2 on the iMac, then toggle the display on the PC. The display works great and it is awesome to only have one cable to do this. this was well worth the money.

I bought this cable to link a Pc equipped with a Sapphire Radeon 4890 VaporX with native Display Port inside with the new iMac 27" that could handle external signal and work like a monitor.
IT'S PERFECT ! Everything was fine, the iMac accepted immediately the signal and let me work and play in the awesome resolution of 2560x1440

I would like to connect my PC with a DisplayPort to the new 27 inch imac that has a minidisplayport. Is this possible? You would get a five star for sure if this was an option!

I've just bought a new iMAC 27"; and tried to connect it with my Dell 3008..
Dame it Apple...it's fuxking minidisplay port to dual-link DVI cable.....just displaying red flicking lines in my Dell 3008.
I did try to consult Apple technical support centre...Fuxk again..they said nothing could be done...
I was almost hopeless until I found it cable..
CA could send it to me in HONG KONG in 3 days time...unbelievable ..
When I hook it up from new iMAC to my Dell 3008...Everything works fine again..!!!!

im stuck over here in little old England.I could not find a cable anywhere for my Eizo (Ayzo) monitor. These guys shiped it to me faster than ever expected a matter of days. It works perfectly with a mac pro 8core (2009 model) and an eizo colouedge cg243w. Apple themselves are so limp they can not even provide a cable. remember these cables are the next step in evolution from DVI cables. They can run higher bit rates for improved detail and Gamut.
