Mini Display Port to Display Port Adapter Cable, 2 Meter Length
Our Mini Displayport to Displayport adapter is the perfect solution for hooking up your new generation Macbook, Macbook Pro, or Macbook Air to a monitor or HDTV that has Displayport input. This is a great solution because they are the same technology, as such you have no compromise as far as resolution or signal quality. Another common application of this cable is for the new 27" iMac which has mini displayport input. This cable can be used to connecto a Displayport source to the 27" iMac mini displayport input and use the iMac as a display.
Cable is compatible with Apple mini-displayport products and will be in Apples typical gloss white color to match your Apple products.
Incompatibility Issues: Certain customers have reported incompatibility with the HP LP2475w and HP LP2275W monitor. We have had two separate reports that the screen jitters and shakes and makes it unusable. We also have reports that it works fine. There are also reported errors with NEC Monitors: PA241W-BK, PA241W-BK-SV, PA271W-BK and PA271W-BK-SV. These monitors will work with the cable, but have reported issues with waking from sleep. These problems are due to an incompatibility between the monitor and Apple products, not the CA cable. Our cable is manufactured according to DisplayPort specifications. If you are going to be using any of these monitors we can only refund the cost of the cable upon return, not the shipping charge because this is a disclosed issue at the time of purchase.
DisplayPort is a new technology that is looking to replace DVI and VGA as a video connection. The DisplayPort cable is notably smaller than both of these technologies and includes a snap-lock connector to make connecting and disconnecting simple. Display Port will most likely become the new standard for high end video equipment and Circuit Assembly has taken the initiative to be one of the first to manufacture this new technology for its customers. It is capable of carrying a high bandwidth digital audio and video signal.

Thought I lost all hope, then I found this cable.

From the USA to the Philippines, literally on opposite ends of the world, took only about 3 days til it was in my hands.
I own a Powercolor 6990 (1 dvi-d , 5 mini Display ports) and a Samsung S23A750D (120hz 3d monitor). My monitor came with a full sized DP to DP cable. For a few days I was in despair knowing i'd be using my monitor gimped via hdmi (60hz max), in my country no such cables such as this one exists. I really have to thank you circuit assembly for providing me this cable, and extending your reach throughout the glovbe. I now have FULL 120HZ on my monitor with no problems whatsoever. It works flawlessly. One very very happy customer. Thank you.

This Cable Works Wonders

I just purchased a Dell 30" monitor and a MacBook Pro OSX Lion. I checked Amazon reviews of Mini Displayport to Display Port cables and the best reviews were for this one From Circuit Assembly. The Dell monitor has an HDMI Display Port so I hooked up my Mac and ....nothing.
I asked Circuit Assembly for help and the answer was that the Dell monitor has a settings button which I changed to "display port". It worked perfectly. Thanks Circuit Assembly.

Perfect fit my imac and dell u2711

Having just purchased a new 27" iMac with a thunderbolt graphics port, I needed a way to hook up to a Dell U2711 and get the highest resolution as HDMI and DVI wasn't doing it. I looked and found this cable for a great price and had it at my door in three days. Minutes later, I was happily using both displays! Highly recommended!

I bought a Dual link DVI adapter from the Apple Store (for € 99,- !!) first but this thing was giving distorted video (tested the adapter with different displays) after waking my MacBook Pro from sleep.
Then I came across this site and decided to bring the Apple adapter back and order one of these cables. I chose 3 meter long version, costed me € 23,50 incl. shipping to Rotterdam (Netherlands). Works way better then the overpriced Apple adapter + this cable allows me the use the diplays build-in audio (pops up in the sound output panel as Dell U2711 via Displayport). Arrived in three days (Fedex Standard), great product!

Just to thanks Ivor's review here, i had also some periodic flickering but since i disabled DDC/CI on the Dell, it works great !
