We have also received feedback from our customers telling us that it works with the Apple Mini Displayport to Dual Link DVI Adapter to produce the full resolution on the Apple Cinema Display with DVI input!

Cable will be available in 1 meter (~3 feet) and 2 meter (~6 feet) lengths but this cable can be custom built to other you may need with 6 week lead time. Tooling charges may apply for small batches.

Cable is compatible with Apple mini-displayport products and will be in Apples typical gloss white color to match your Apple products. Please note, because this is a new cable it has not been tested on every possible configuration of PC to Apple Display. If this cable does not work for your particular situation for any reason we will send a complete refund including shipping cost.

  1. Works with Nvidia FX580

Posted by Steven on 9th Mar 2010

My Apple 24 LED works great with Nvidia FX580 running Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Get the latest Nvidia driver it has a control panel that allows you to control brightness, contrast, etc.

  3. Radeon 57xx series incompatibility confirmed

Posted by Unknown on 6th Feb 2010

I can confirm this cable does not work on a Radeon 5770. My Apple LED Cinema won't turn on when connected to my graphics card. This is an Ati issue, I hope they fix this problem soon.

  4. Eyefinity test. works

Posted by Alex on 25th Nov 2009

The eyefinity solution of buying the Apple mini display port to dual-link dvi -> to this cable supports the eyefinity mode.
    thank you

  5. Reliable

Posted by Unknown on 29th Oct 2009

Only thing to say is it seems well built and just works. That's all you need in a cable.

  6. Will It Work With 1ST GEN MACBOOK AIR

Posted by Unknown on 7th Oct 2009

Just a quick question. Will this adaptor work to connect the new Apple Cinema display with the 1st Gen MacBook Air. I think I may need to add a new adaptor to connect to the display port with the MBA.

  7. Works with Apple LED

Posted by ivan on 4th Oct 2009

Worked no problem with Apple LED but only after I got a video card with DP. Tried to convert DP to HDMI through adapter - did not work.

  8. Works great with Apple Cinema Display (LED) 24" and nVidia 295

Posted by Unknown on 28th Aug 2009

Quadro NVS 295 with DisplayPort on an HP Workstation. Connected the DisplayPort to mini-DisplayPort adapter, connected the monitor, and it immediately worked. Display quality is perfect.

  9. Won't work for me

Posted by Jeff on 16th Aug 2009

    I've got this setup:

24 cinema display -> this adaptor cable -> displayport coupler -> displayport to hdmi adapter -> hdmi to dvi cable -> alienware desktop.

And it doesn't work for me. The build quality seems poor on the cable and it's difficult to get the mini diplayport connector into it. I'm very disappointed--I had high hopes for this.

Comment from CA Staff ==> This cable not working was as a result of the customer using the displayport to hdmi adapter in the wrong direction, it does not function with hdmi as the source.

  10. Exactly what I've been waiting for....

Posted by David on 12th Aug 2009

I have an apple cinema 30" display and a dell laptop (M4400). I thought I could drive my display at full res (2560X1600) with the laptop but apparently that is only through display port and not the dvi connection. So my hunt started for a solution and now I have it. I use the apple dual-link dvi to mini-display port adapter and then this adapter to my dock's display port and it works perfect! Beautiful image on my 30"!
