Mini Displayport to Displayport Cable H713012 Passes Testing, Shipping 6/3/09

We’re happy to announce that the much anticipated Displayport to Mini Displayport cable has passed testing. This is the cable that will allow customers to connect their Mac computers to Displayport monitors and enjoy the full resolution that Displayport technology allows. This is by far the best solution for those seeking high end use.

We had an anticipated ship date of 6/8/09 but since the parts are shipping from China today via consolidated air, they should arrive on Wednesday the 3rd. Our original target ship date back in April was June 1st so we are pleased that we were able to complete this project so quickly.

This was quite a task for us because we decided to put our own mini displayport plug connector on this cable, which meant we had to tool the connector. This process usually takes at least two months and considerable financial resources but we were able to expedite the process for our customers. As of now we have tested the cable using an HDMI adapter to plug it into an HDMI monitor. We are in the process of purchasing a displayport monitor so that we can test a macbook pro and ensure that the cable will pass the highest resolution allowed by displayport.

As of right now we are certain the cable will pass the test with flying colors. Here are some real life photos of the cable which were taken today. In china we don’t have a photo studio like in California so the pictures aren’t top quality but we’ll post new ones this week.

    Hi!

I was using this cable without any problems with Mac OS X Leopard. Having updated today to Snow Leopard, I see no picture on my external monitor, even though there seems to be a connecting between MBP and monitor. Can you help me?
