Circuit Assembly Begins Tooling Mini Displayport Female to Displayport Male Adapter Cable H713020

This cable has been requested by many of our customers who want to use an Apple Cinema Display with Mini Displayport in combination with a PC that has a Displayport video card. We think this is a great solution for those customers because it will allow the monitor to utilize its full resolution instead of being limited to the resolutions available by single link DVI or HDMI. This cable will be available in both 1 meter (3 foot) and 2 meter (6 foot) lengths.

We expect delivery to be sometime in the middle of June. We have added the product to our eStore and it is available for pre-order now. First orders received will be shipped first. Once we have a more definite ship date on the cable we will update our eStore.

Check out the cable here!

Please comment on our blog with your feedback, we always value our customers opinions and we respond quickly to customer requests to develop new products.

Thanks, Very much for Mini Display port female connector! I’ve been waiting a long time for for this. I’ll be able to use that 24″ Cinema display that’s be gathering dust since January..

Quick question. Is there likely to to be a Mini Displayport (female) to HDMI (male) available soon after? Is it even possible?

I got it today but it doesn’t work.
I bought a female MDP to Male DP adapt H713020 your estore, and I received it today, but it troubled me whole day.
I have a Apple 24′ cinema display ( the only one MDP display in the market at present), a macbook 466 with MDP, a PC with displayport out adapt, your adapt H713020 mentioned above.
Now, Macbook hoop up with ACD no problem, my PC can work with normal display by DVI port, my PC can work with normal display by using displayport out to your adapt(H713020) + male MDP to femal DVI.
It means the ACD has no problem, the PC display adapt can output signal by displayport, your adapt can transfer signal.
BUT, my PC can’t light up my ACD, the route is displayport from my PC to your adapt H713020 to ACD, no any signal, the display always was black, I had tried many times but it really doesn’t work.
How can I do? should I post my PC’s display adapt and H713020 to your Shenzhen factory to do some test?

    yatesc…

If those adapters did exist then yes it would work. Unfortunately there is no such thing as the Displayport female to DVI male (where the DVI will work as the source). We are currently working on a solution that would do what you are asking for though, please see our other blog entry

    Zhou,

I believe we have been in contact and this cable should work for this application. I will discuss this issue with you further. It may be that you received a defective cable (although this is hard for me to believe).

  5. Zhou says:

    Hi Andrew,
    Thanks for your comments.
I had mailed the cable back to factory last week, waiting for their further good news. I think it should be solved finally as it’s not a complex issue. after all MDP is a newest interface, I guess different OEMs of apple maybe sometimes do different plug, this is the reason this cable can work with the adapt Male MDP to Female DVI but not work on apple’s 24′ LED ACD.

Is there some arrangement that will allow me to use this cable to connect my new Cinema display to my older Macbook Air (with a micro-DVI female port)?
